More Tea, Vicar?

Although the balmy blue skies seem to have deserted us temporarily, our beautiful Tea Dresses are guaranteed to bring a bit of cheer. With their wonderfully curvy cut, and knee-length skirt, they're at once demure and incredibly chic, and can be dressed up or down, making them perfectly suited to a civilised afternoon tea, a decadent summer picnic or even a day at the office.

The button-through blouson top is gently gathered to flatter all bust sizes, and the nipped waist and fuller hips make it an extremely forgiving dress that really suits all shapes and sizes. The Tea Dress is an almost perfect reproduction of a genuine Forties frock, only slightly tweaked by Vivien to make it even more comfortable and easy-care, whether you're working, walking or jitterbugging the night away in style.

Choose from practical plain red and plain black, polkadots or period-perfect novelty prints. All feature cute, white buttons, and are accented with white stitching at the gathered yoke and cuffs. Our absolute favourite has to be the Strawberry Fields version, with its juicy fruit print and little white polkadots.

Pair your Tea Dress with one of our cinch belts, and add a little cardigan or vintage suit jacket, and you'll look like you've stepped from the pages of a 1940s fashion magazine.
