Get "Carefree" with Brigitte

To celebrate (the original sex kitten) Brigitte Bardot's 75th birthday the town of Boulogne Billancourt, near Paris (France, not Texas) is playing host to an exhibition dedicated to her "Carefree Years" or "Les Annees Insouciance" if you want to impress your friends.

Anyway, the big news is that all the hostesses at the exhibition will be sporting Vivien of Holloway Pink Gingham Dresses. Swoon! A meeting of this much glamour might cause some kind of implosion, but we're willing to take our chances.

Now might be the time to grab yourself a Pink Gingham number, and affect a Parisian accent, as the exhibition starts on September 29th and runs through to January 2010

SImple Sophistication

Last week we professed our love for all things Gingham. This week we're happy to unveil our gorgeous new contrast gingham halter tops. They feature the same boned bodices that you know and love (probably for their ability to give that much dreamed of pin up silhouette) in plain block colour, with a contrasting gingham halter collar.

Like the idea of these but want something a little more on the sultry side? Fret not, we have our classic black wiggle dress with a black and white gingham halter. These are selling quick, don't say we didn't warn you.

We've just got some new pictures of the lovely Anna Fur Laxis showing off our chic new "Parisienne" bombshell wiggle dress.

The fabric is to die for, featuring an all over Paris inspired print on black sateen. As usual the bodice is boned to give you that extra waist nipping, bust enhancing, pin up figure.

Fabulous Dames in Fabulous Frocks

The Schla La La's were a fabulous UK based girl band, unfortunately now disbanded. We stumbled across this CD the other day and were reminded just how great they all look.

A perfect example of the smart, sassy, independent attitude that is Vivien of Holloway - and an even better one of how to rock a halter!

Everything's gone Gingham

How gorgeous was the weather this weekend? We're hoping it's going to continue.

It was perfect for picnic-ing, and as coincidence would have it we've just got in some new Gingham Daisy dresses. These are absolutely perfect for a picnic in the park.

Pick your favourite colour (there are seven and they're all completely divine - I can't choose so I'm thinking... one of each ?) co-ordinate it with your hamper and head to the heath!

Gingham is big news this season, so why not be a little more unique with our daisy print design?

Mad Men Yourself - In real life! Part One

If you've been anywhere near the internet in the last few weeks, you've probably noticed your friends user icons turning a little "madder". I am, of course, talking about the madmenyourself app on AMC's Mad Men site.

If you're not familiar with the show, I suggest you buy a boxset and get to it. Set in the world on Madison Avenue ad agencies, Mad Men follows the lives, loves, scandals and intrigues of some of the most attractive, sharply dressed folk you'll find on TV.

We're in love with the show, and wanted to point out that you too can Mad Men yourself, but in real life with a fabulous Vivien of Holloway Outfit.

Happy Monday! The weekend was over for us all too soon but here's a little something to ease your transition back into the work week.
